What Do You Think about Earning Your Master’s Degree While Still Working on Your Bachelor’s?

The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures’ Accelerated Bachelor’s / Master’s (ABM) Degree Program in French or Spanish is a wonderful opportunity for students seeking a higher degree in one of these two languages. The program allows students to earn their BA and MA in five years, saving both time and money by facilitating completion of advanced coursework while still enrolled as undergraduates.

Eleven Humanities and Social Sciences students recently received or were named finalists for prestigious national awards. Recipients of the various scholarships and grants will teach and/or study critical languages abroad during the coming months. Professor Brings The Mexican Crack Writers to Life in New Book

One of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures own has recently become a third-time published author. Héctor Jaimes, a professor of Latin American Literature and Culture and the Spanish Language, has been a member of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at North Carolina State University for the past twenty years. Jaimes recently published the anthology, The Mexican Crack Writers: History and Criticism, which stands alone as the first scholarly book about a literary group that defined a whole generation of Latin American writers.
