The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures’ Accelerated Bachelor’s / Master’s (ABM) Degree Program in French or Spanish is a wonderful opportunity for students seeking a higher degree in one of these two languages. The program allows students to earn their BA and MA in five years, saving both time and money by facilitating completion of advanced coursework while still enrolled as undergraduates.

She is a Caldwell Fellow, founder and president of Adopted Students Union at NC State, and has studied abroad in China and England. Recently, the city of Elche, Spain, hosted the IV International Seminar Ryszard Kapuscinski, part of the XIII International Conference of Journalism at the University Miguel Hernández. During the event, NC State professor Jordi Marí talked about the US media ecosystem since the coming to power of the current administration of President Trump last January.

Professor Brings The Mexican Crack Writers to Life in New Book

One of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures own has recently become a third-time published author. Héctor Jaimes, a professor of Latin American Literature and Culture and the Spanish Language, has been a member of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at North Carolina State University for the past twenty years. Jaimes recently published the anthology, The Mexican Crack Writers: History and Criticism, which stands alone as the first scholarly book about a literary group that defined a whole generation of Latin American writers.
