Tutoring and Tutorials
German and Italian in-person tutoring is offered free for students. Additionally, graduate students enrolled in the Spanish MA program offer tutoring services. Tutoring takes place on days when classes are in session according to the languages/schedules below.
Italian Language Tutoring
The Italian Section at NC State provides free tutoring each semester. Information can be found here. Tutor availability is updated at the start of every semester.
German Language Tutoring
The German Honor Society (Delta Phi Alpha) offers free tutoring each semester. Information can be found here. Tutor availability is updated at the start of every semester.
French Language Tutoring and Online Tutorials
Fall 2026, free French tutoring is offered by first year TAs in our French graduate program:
- Mondays from 11am to 1pm in Withers Hall Room 441
- Mondays & Wednesdays from 1-2p in Withers Hall Room 400
- Wednesdays from 12pm to 2pm in Withers Hall Room 441

- Don’t delay taking your language courses, and don’t take a semester off between classes.
- Visit with your instructor if you have specific learning needs/strategies.
- If you have DRO accommodations, visit with your instructor about the specific accommodations you would like to use.
