FL&L TAs among Recognized by the NC State Graduate Student Association

Foreign Languages and Literatures Graduate Teaching Assistants Lindsey Chandler and Diana Dang were among several NC State graduate students recognized for their Excellence in Classroom Teaching by the NC State Graduate Student Association, during a ceremony celebrated last March 21. FL&L Graduate Program Director Dr. Scott Despain was in attendance.

Working as a technical officer at the World Health Organization, Gonsalves studies how to better connect young people with information and services related to their sexual and reproductive health.

Spanish professor Louise Dolan helped her students, Anna Stewart and Regan Lane, create an opportunity to apply their knowledge of both Animal Science and Spanish in Argentina.

Submit Your Poems to the 2017 NC State Poetry Contest

The NC State creative writing program is accepting entries to its annual statewide writing contest. Open to all North Carolina residents, the contest is one of the largest free literary competitions in the Southeast and drew more than 600 entrants last year.

New Scholarly Journal for English Language Teaching and Research Releases Its First Issue

Dialogues: An Interdisciplinary Journal for English Language Teaching and Research recently published its first issue. The journal is an initiative of the English as Second Language program led by Dr. Jillian Haeseler who also serves as the journal's editor. Dialogues is sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
