FL&L TAs among Recognized by the NC State Graduate Student Association

Foreign Languages and Literatures Graduate Teaching Assistants Lindsey Chandler and Diana Dang were among several NC State graduate students recognized for their Excellence in Classroom Teaching by the NC State Graduate Student Association, during a ceremony celebrated last March 21. FL&L  Graduate Program Director Dr. Scott Despain was in attendance.

Lindsey Chandler

Born in upstate New York but raised in Cary, NC, Lindsey completed her bachelor’s degree in Spanish at Appalachian State University. After briefly working for a real estate firm in the Triangle Area, she went on to start her MA in Foreign Languages and Literatures at NC State in the fall of 2015. Lindsey has already been accepted at Penn State University where she is looking forward to completing her PhD in Hispanic linguistics.

Diana Dang

Originally from Ohio, Diana completed her bachelor’s degree in Spanish at UNC, Wilmington. Before enrolling for her MA in Foreign Languages and Literatures at NC State, she taught English as a Second Language at Wake Tech Community College for 7 years. Diana is looking forward to the “next opportunity to teach or to otherwise help to further the education of others.”
