New Scholarly Journal for English Language Teaching and Research Releases Its First Issue

Dialogues: An Interdisciplinary Journal for English Language Teaching and Research recently published its first issue. The journal is an initiative of the English as Second Language program led by Dr. Jillian Haeseler who also serves as the journal’s editor. Dialogues is sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures

This initiative aims to be a forum for all ESL professionals to share their research, innovative ideas, and best classroom practices to better serve English learners and the profession as a whole. It is an interdisciplinary journal that publishes research and practice-based articles by and for teacher learners, trainers, researchers, administrators, and other professionals from different, yet related fields.

Dialogues intends to have a representation of varied contexts of ESL teaching, such as K-12, IEPs, community colleges, teacher education programs, and to foster — as its name suggests — an ongoing dialogue between them.

In addition to Haeseler, the editorial team also includes Juliana Pybus and Bethany Bradshaw.

Congratulations!!
