Study Abroad with WLC Faculty
World Languages and Cultures faculty direct or lead several study abroad opportunities. Studying abroad with their professors allows students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. Faculty-led programs offer built-in support, academic guidance, and a strong sense of community. Students often form closer relationships with professors and peers, making the experience both academically enriching and personally meaningful.

“This trip, along with Dr. Heinen and Dr. De Simoni, opened that door for me. The firsthand experience has been amazing. For example, I’ve always heard about how large the Colosseum is and how it was a great feat for the ancient Romans. Being able to see and stand in it myself has solidified this for me. It held about as many people as Carter-Finley Stadium, and it was built almost 2,000 years ago!” – Bethany Steen, Classics Alive Summer 2025
