Our Alumni

Tess Wells
Currently: Pursuing a doctorate in Pharmacy at Campbell University
"This semester I am working with a classmate counseling seasonal farmworker Latinas on how to better manage their type 2 diabetes. If I had not majored in Spanish at NC State and had such great faculty direction I would not have the confidence or ability to have had these experiences."

Molly Brooks
Currently: Teaching high school French
"Deciding to be a part of this program was one of the best decisions I made for my career as a high school French teacher. The flexibility in the hybrid program allowed me to continue teaching full-time while taking courses. All of the courses deepened my knowledge of French language and culture and the professors are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about their content area."

Jeff Allen
Currently: Pursuing a Ph.D. and Lecturing at NC State
"Completing my MA at NC State opened many doors for me. Not only did I gain content knowledge about the French language and literature, but I also gained valuable classroom management skills for teaching French thanks to my role as a teaching assistant. This experience afforded me the opportunity to be successful in my current position as a lecturer and in my continued studies as a graduate student."

Jimmy Schiemann
Currently: Working as a Financial Analyst in Charlotte
Jimmy's study abroad trip to Germany gave him insight into the global economy.

Philip Wotortsi
Currently: Working as an Engineer for Siemens
Philip studied German and Engineering. Now he’s an engineer for a German company.
